Her role at 1848 Ventures:
As a member of the 1848V team, Whitney assists in finding talent who align with our drive, work ethic, and culture, who can join the team and contribute early. This skill is improved by observing the team from a bird’s-eye view and deciphering gaps and areas for added expertise.
What she loves about the work we do:
“There are no right or wrong answers, but there is plenty of room to explore. The work we’re doing allows for both professional and personal growth.”
Which of our “How we show up” behaviors resonates with her most:
“Shortly after joining the team I realized how Diverse we are – coming from unique backgrounds, with varying experiences and personal interests will help us to learn more about ourselves and add layers and thoughtfulness to the work we collaborate on and what we ultimately produce.”
Whitney has a diverse background in account and project management, college recruitment, and technical recruitment. Every experience has added to her skillset and has helped project her into the next opportunity with an open mind and willingness to learn. She’s found success joining and contributing to established organizations, as well as in her entrepreneurial endeavors.
What she’s passionate about:
People! Meeting new people, building relationships, and motivating individuals to realize their personal capabilities and self-worth.
Whitney enjoys photography (team Nikon!) and one of her images took second place in a global photography contest. Although her side gig is on a hiatus, she continues to hone her skills by taking photos of her son, Lincoln, and her dog, Charlie Wrinkles.
