Her role at 1848 Ventures:
Kasey takes her passion for implementation, connection and making things happen for the 1848 Ventures team through a dual role on the Talent Strategy and Innovation Practice teams. Kasey assists in developing and integrating a strong, collaborative 1848 Ventures team while reinforcing and building the innovation practices that enable the team to do their best work.
What she loves about the work we do:
“I love how our team marries an innate curiosity with a bias towards action. Everyone feels empowered to explore new ideas, test a hunch or collaborate on something new. This enables us to solve for our customers in more meaningful, innovative ways that are truly impactful in their businesses.”
Which of our “How we show up” behaviors resonates with her most:
“Optimistic – we are a “yes, and…” team. We all support each other’s ideas and do so through jumping in and building on them. Our team is eager to explore divergent ideas and we see the challenges of our customers as opportunities to change the market.”
Kasey’s career has been focused around passion for being on high-growth teams. She started her career in business development and marketing for a digital product innovation studio. She then transitioned into the world of higher education as the Assistant Director of Creativity & Innovation for Miami University’s Institute for Entrepreneurship. In Spring 2020, she returned to her hometown of Cleveland to work on her MBA full-time while pursuing the opportunity with 1848 Ventues.
What she’s passionate about:
With her work, Kasey is passionate about being all-in, encouraging others with positivity, and the entrepreneurial spirit. In her free time, she is passionate about running, experimenting in the kitchen and exploring Cleveland.
One day when she retires, Kasey dreams of opening a unique tri-purpose space: a wine shop, craft studio and senior dog retirement home.
